Ana M. Ortega-Villa recognized by COPSS with Emerging Leader Award

Ana, who is a PhD Alum and has served as an Adjunct teaching classes for the Department of Statistics for more than a decade, was recently recognized by the Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies (COPSS) with an Emerging Leader Award.  As reported in the IME Bulleting,

the award recognizes Ana "For impactful and dynamic leadership, including the training, mentoring, and uplifting of junior colleagues [while at the National Institute of Allergy and Infections Diseases, where she works].  For effective communication with non-statistical collaborators promoting statistical rigor; and for energetic and innovative service to the profession."  Congrats Ana!
