𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀:

𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗥. 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 and 𝗞𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗻 𝗫𝗶𝗲 have been selected as winners of the ASA SPES & Q&P Student Paper Competition. Anna’s paper is titled “𝘔𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘑𝘶𝘮𝘱 𝘎𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴,” and Kexin’s paper is “𝘈𝘥𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘉𝘪-𝘓𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭 𝘝𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘔𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘌𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘎𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘥 𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘔𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘴.” Both will present their work at JSM this year.

𝗔𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 has won the ASA Section on Defense and National Security Student Paper Competition for his paper “𝘙𝘰𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘎𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘐𝘯𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘕𝘰𝘪𝘴𝘺 𝘈𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳 𝘋𝘢𝘵𝘢,” in collaboration with researchers at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He will be presenting this work at DATAWorks 2026.

𝗝𝗮𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘃 𝗚𝗼𝗲𝗹 has won the ASA Section on Risk Analysis Student Paper Competition for his paper “𝘜𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘝𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘳𝘺𝘱𝘵𝘰 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘓𝘈𝘚𝘚𝘖 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘞𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘭𝘺 𝘋𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘴.” He will present this work at the Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM 2026).
