The Department of Statistics is proud to announce that 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗶 𝗟𝗶𝘂 has been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure.

Dr. Liu's research develops foundational statistical methodologies with theoretical foundations at the intersection of statistical theory, machine learning, and scientific applications. Her research advances nonparametric inference, generative models, and representation learning to provide trustworthy prediction and inference for complex structured, large-scale, and streaming data. These methodologies offer critical, reliable analytical tools with vital applications in neuroscience and other data-driven scientific fields.
