Hutcheson Hall Undergoes Renovations

April 16, 2012

Hutcheson Renovation
The carrel area on the 4th floor of Hutcheson Hall is undergoing renovations to provide better office space for graduate students, LISA, and faculty members.
The graduate student carrels and graduate computing area are under renovation. The graduate students have moved to the third floor of Sandy Hall. The department acquired the space in Hutcheson for the students around 1975 and little changed since then. We are very excited about the new plan which will include better space for student offices, open space for meetings and room for our Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis (LISA). Plans for the renovation will be completed in March and the demolition phase will start soon. We have put some photos on the web of the old carrels and will update the pages as the renovation progresses.

On April 16, 2012 demolition and asbestos removal began. Pictures are posted below.
