Research areas: Experimental design and analysis, response surface analysis, and designs for nonlinear models.
Other activities: Associate Editor: Journal of Quality Technology, former Associate Editor: Technometrics, Fellow of ASA, elected member of ISI, member of the Virginia Tech Academy of Teaching Excellence, former director of the Statistical Consulting Center, has authored leading texts in the areas of engineering statistics, regression, and response surface design and analysis.
