Howard E. Bowers, 1946; I am married and presently living near Rural Retreat, VA., after having lived in Florida for 40-some years. Hopefully I can withstand the winter months again. I have three children living in Roanoke, VA.

Van Bowen, PhD, 1968; Become a fellow in ASQ in May. Retired from the University of Richmond, 33 years, and will be Chair of the Statistics Division of ASQ during the next year. Will be consulting.

Harry F. Martz , PhD, 1968; Retired from Los Alamos National Laboratory in June 2001 with 25 years of service. Also a former member of the Industrial Engineering faculty at Texas Tech University. I enjoy traveling, backpacking, camping and treasure hunting as well as being a supportive husband, father and grandfather.

Timothy A. DeRouen, PhD, 1971; Recently (Feb 2003) appointed Executive Associate Dean for Research and Academic Affairs, School of Dentistry, University of Washington. Previously Chairman of the Department of Dental Public Health Sciences (1986-2003), Associate Dean for Research in the School of Dentistry (2000-2003), Associate Dean of the School of Public Health (1979-1985). Continuing as Professor of Biostatistics (Public Health), Professor of Dental Public Health Sciences (Dentistry), as well as Director of the Comprehensive Center for Oral Health Research. Barbara Mann (formerly Stauffer), PhD, 1979; I am a Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Wright State University in Dayton, OH. I have been very active in the ASA, having served a term on the Board of Directors. I am currently Chair of the Statistical Consulting Section and also am chairing the Outreach Education Committee. Todd Treichel , MS, 1987; I'm currently employed as Director of the Railroad Tank Car Safety Research & Test Project, a joint program sponsored by the railcar builders of the Railway Progress Institute and by the Association of American Railroads. The "Project" conducts engineering tests and maintains and analyzes a database on tank cars involved in accidents, in order to further the cause of railroad safety. Bill Hartley, MS, 1993; I am a senior research analyst for Brann Data, a marketing research company in Richmond, VA. I lived in the DC metro area 5 years after graduation, and have also lived in Nottingham, England for 6 months. Finally settled down in Richmond. The Hartley clan now has 5 members: me, my wife Maureen, our daughter Elizabeth (born 4/21/2000) and identical twin boys Victor and Jack (born 4/20/2002).

James Mays, PhD, 1995; Assistant Professor in Department of Mathematical Sciences at VCU in Richmond, VA. Currently conducting research in nonparametric and semiparametric regression. Teaching junior and senior level Statistical Probability and Inference, teaching graduate level advanced regression, and teaching an interdisciplinary graduate course in Environmental Sciences. Chad Wright , MS, 1995; I've been working at several positions for Capital One Financial Services in Richmond for the last 6 years. Most currently, I manage a team of about 10 statisticians and data analysts, as well as the account management business arm for our Installment Loan portfolio. Angie Mitlehner, PhD, 1997; I live in Portland, OR with my husband Mike and our dog Mogul. I work at Intel Corporation in Fab 20, supporting the engineering groups through teaching, consulting and special projects. Much of my work is in the areas of DOE/RSM and reliability data analysis.

Tim Robinson, PhD, 1997; I am an assistant professor in the department of statistics at the University of Wyoming. My wife (Dawn) and I were blessed with a baby boy (Elijah) in January, 2001.

Christopher Hughes, PhD, 1999; I'm still a hillbilly in the land of Lutherans. I work at 3M and I live in an old house in White Bear Lake, MN with my wife Lori and our two Great Danes. I spend most of my time taking care of the dogs and growing heirloom vegetables (when I am not shoveling snow or smacking mosquitoes). Lori is self-employed as a technical editor and is now an official Master Gardener.

Steven Kathman, PhD, 1999; I am working for the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). It is a government agency similar to the CDC. I am working on several projects with Epidemiologists. Married and have a house in Lawrenceville, GA. One child.

Hefang Lin, PhD, 1999; I work as a senior statistician at Fentress Incorporated in Maryland. We bought a new house in MD; also I am expecting my second baby on Feb. 19th.

Marice Dorsey, MS, 2000; My husband Mike Kruse and I recently welcomed our first child, Edward Michael Kruse. We are still living and working in the Adams Morgan/Kalorama neighborhood in DC, and adjusting to new parenthood. I'm keeping very busy, doing medical research for MedStar Research Institute as well as teaching at American University, my undergraduate alma mater.

Celia Eicheldinger, MS, 2000;Currently I am employed with 3M in a SMALL town, New Ulm, located in MN. (Yes, it is cold there....) My job with 3M is at a manufacturing plant where I serve as the site statistical resource. I still run, but inside during the winter! In October 2002 Bronson Bullock (May 2000 MS Statistics VT) and I are getting married! We plan to relocate to Raleigh, NC this March (2002)!

Paula Johnson, BS, 2000; I am currently enrolled in the graduate program in statistics at Virginia Tech. I plan to graduate with my Masters in December 2001. After graduation, I will be finishing up last minute plans for my wedding which will take place sometime in Feb. or March 2002. I was engaged to Greg Lambert (ISE at VT, class of 2001) early Dec. 2000. We will be living in Richmond, VA after we are married. Greg recently accepted a job with Capital One as a project manager.

Bob Noble, PhD, 2000; Working at DuPont Pharmaceutical in the pre-clinical/R&D area in Wilmington, Delaware. In the fall of 2001 start a new job as an Assistant Professor in the Math/Statistics Department at Miami University of Ohio.

Wilson Shealy, MS, 2000; I'm working in R&D for Dade Microscan, a medical diagnostics company in Sacramento, CA. We develop machines that allow rapid identification and susceptibility testing of infectious diseases. My wife and I are enjoying the break from your cold winters.

Lijia Zeng, MS, 2000; After graduating again from Tech with my ACIS degree in May 2002, I moved to State College Pennsylvania, and started my first job with Minitab in July 2002. I have been working as a Statistical Quality Assurance Analyst in Minitab for almost a full year now, love the job, love the company! Minitab is still small, but we feel like a big family here.
